Creativity belongs to the artist in each
of us.
To create means to relate.

“to fit together”
and we all do this everyday.
Not all of us are painters but we are all
artists.

creating

The purpose of this club is to provide a
safe, supportive, and FUN space in which members use the expressive
arts to fill a need for creative expression that feeds the
soul. The expressive arts include but are not limited to:
collage making, journaling, drawing, painting, drama, clay
play. Previous experience is not required to join. A particular
expressive art and theme will be assigned to each meeting,
however, this club also offers space for members to finish
their own art or craft projects while in the company of other
creators or engage in an expressive art of their choice.
In addition to regular monthly meetings
(held on the first Saturday of each month from 11:00 am - 2:30
pm), Guest Teachers will occasionally offer classes on a variety of
arts and crafts subjects. A separate fee will be charged for
classes offered by guest teachers. Please see our calendar of regular meetings and guest teachers below.

Membership to the CC is open to all
persons 18 and older who have an interest in creativity through
the expressive arts. Members will pay annual dues of $20 per
year. For 2008, most regular meetings will be FREE to CC
members due to the success of the Creativity Gym fundraising
event, guest teacher events, and membership.
CC members must also hold concurrent
membership in the Joslyn Adult Recreation Center of Cambria,
which is $25 per year for 2008, going up to $30 per year in
2009. Guests may participate in club activities as often as two
times a year without being required to become dues paying
members of either the CC or the Joslyn. Guests will pay a fee
of $30 per regular meeting.

Bring an unfinished art or craft project
and work on it in the company of other creative souls (no
glitter please). Guests $5 donation to club (this meeting
only). Bring your project(s), and get ready to have FUN! This
could be a great time to work on handmade gifts for the
upcoming holiday.

Due to popular demand, we are offering a
second round of this very enjoyable collage process of making
your own divination deck. First timers are welcome.
Presented by Lance Canales.
Learn fundamentals of breath control, finger techniques and
song structure. Experience traditional spirituality of the
flute and ways in which one can go deeper into flute playing by
connecting to the spiritual element. This workshop can benefit
both beginners and advanced flute player. Flutes provided or
bring your own. Handmade flutes will also be available to
purchase. Concert featuring Lance Canales follows workshop in

Regular meeting - Magazine collage.
This is a powerful process for healing,
transformation and for making dreams come true. In this meeting
you will assemble materials that you have gathered beforehand.
You will energize your altar through creative intention and
action, and give birth to new dreams and abilities. You will
create sacred space for focusing your dreams. Honor the sacred
space that is within. Let your inner light shine during this
introspective and waning light season of autumn. Bring peace to
your heart and tranquility to your soul.
